Luxury Edition of Stile launched in Indian Auto Expo

February 10, 2014: After launching Stile MPV in October 2013 with price tag of Rs. 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom price) Ashok Leyland has launched the Luxury Edition of named as Stile Luxury Edition with fewer tweets. The changes which have been offered can be witnessed on interiors and exteriors. Company has however carried the same existing engine configuration in Luxury Edition.

Name of Ashok Leyland does not require any introduction to introduce in world of global auto industry for delivering superior performing commercial vehicles to not only its native country but also to whole world. Recently Ashok Leyland has entered in a joint venture with Japanese auto giant Nissan and has launched its first multi-purpose vehicle Stile in Indian auto market on October 7, 2013. Based on Nissan’s Evalia platform, Stile is 8 seat passenger vehicle which is launched with price tag of Rs. 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom price). Stile is empowered with 1.5 litre K9K engine that is capable of developing the power of 80 bhp at 3700 rpm and torque of 250 Nm at 27509 rpm. At present Ashok Leyland has launched three models of Stile’s diesel variant codenamed as LE, LS and LX.

Ashok Leyland is an established name in Indian auto industry and is recognized for launching huge fleet of commercial vehicles in national and international market. Established in 1948 company carries the glorious history behind its existence wherein it has manufactured different types of commercial vehicles including trucks, buses, emergency vehicles, etc. After making huge contribution in segment of commercial vehicles company has now signed a treaty with Japanese auto giant Nissan Motors to enter in the world of passenger vehicles. The first initiative of this alliance has been launched in Indian auto market with codenamed as Ashok Leyland Stile which is mainly designed on platform of Nissan’s Evalia.

At present Ashok Leyland has launched Stile in diesel variant by integrating 1.5 litre diesel mill. It is speculated that soon company will launch petrol and CNG variants also in market. The launched diesel variant has been introduced in three different models including LE, LS and LX. All these models are empowered with 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine which is similar to engine integrated in Nissan Evalia. Here it would be important to mention that company has modified the power this engine and now it develops the power of 80 bhp at 3700 rpm and torque of 250 Nm at 2750 rpm. Company has launched Stile in attractive colors including white, silver, grey, black and red colors. The all three models are enriched with power steering and air conditioner.

Ashok Leyland Stile LE	This is the base model in diesel variant that is enriched with 1.5-litre 75bhp 16V Intercooled Diesel Engine with displacement capacity of 1461 cc, developing the power of 80 bhp at 3700 rpm and torque of 250 Nm at 2750 rpm. Delivering an average of 19.5 kmpl and 22.5 kmpl in city and highway respectively the major features integrated in this model include power steering ,air conditioner, cup holders at front and rear side.
Ashok Leyland Stile LS	This is the mid ranged model of Stile that carries the same technical features for instance engine, power, and average as delivered by the base model. As mentioned above Stile has been launched in diesel variant that is enriched with 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine with displacement capacity of 1461 cc followed four cylinder engine supported by five speed manual transmission gearbox forwarding power to front wheel. The engine delivers decent average of 19.5 kmpl in urban areas and 22.5 kmpl on highways.

Blessed with 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine the MPV catches the speed from 0 to 100 kmph within the span of 14 to 17 seconds and gets maximum speed varying from 120 kmph to 140 kmph.
