Honda Civic Rivals
The Honda Civic sedan has come a long way in the country and is one of the beloved vehicle of the elite segment. There are many challengers available to provide a decent threat to Civic but the closest has been its competitor from homeland Japan, the Toyota Corolla Altis. Both the premium sedans have spent some solid time in the Indian automotive market, nearly a decade, and have enthralled their owners with power-packed performances.
On the exteriors, both the sedans have gone through many facelifts in the recent times to ensure and maintain the contemporary feel that allures their enthusiasts’ nation-wide. Among the current generation of both, the Honda Civic with its aerodynamic and cab forward design wins against the carefully crafted Toyota Corolla’s outer surface. In the inside, the interiors of Honda Civic are more modern and premium in comparison to that of Toyota Corolla Altis’s. The cabins of both the premium sedans are roomy but here if talked about legroom and head room Honda Civic is way ahead in terms although the length and width have marginal difference. Under the hood there is option of petrol or diesel choice in Corolla, but one needs get pleased with the only petrol offing when it comes to choosing Civic. But the 1.8L renowned IVTEC petrol engine of Honda sedan is just enough to blow one’s mind away with its power, performance and passion when put up against 1.8L 2ZR-FE petrol motor of Toyota. Although on the mileage part, both return with nearly identical numbers, the top speed and acceleration from 0-100 kph comes better with Honda Civic.
