Hyundai Creta 2022 To Receive ADAS
March 7, 2022: According to recent reports, the South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors will upgrade the compact SUV Creta with an Additional Driver Assistance System and additional safety features. It will continue with the existing engine options of a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.4-lire turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine.
Hyundai Upgrades Creta With “E” Trim In Petrol Variant
October 6, 2020: Hyundai India has introduced a new trim “E” in the petrol portfolio, along with a price hike in the entire range of petrol and diesel variants. Earlier the “E” trim was available only in the diesel variant. The Hyundai Creta is equipped, with two engine options of 1.5-litre, and 1.4-litre turbocharged in petrol variant and a 1.5-litre engine in the diesel variant. All the engine options are empowered, with BS-6 compliant engine.
Hyundai Creta Touches The Mark Of 5 Lakh Units Sold
August 11, 2020: Launched back in 2015, the Creta compact SUV from Hyundai Cars India Limited (HCIL) has touched the mark of 5 lakh units sold within five years. The second generation of Creta was launched in March 2020 and is reported to receive the bookings above 65,000 units. The new Creta is developed on a new platform that is used in Kia Seltos and is offered with BS6 compliant engine configurations.
The Hyundai Creta 2020 Launched With the Starting Price of Rs. 9.99 lakh
March 17, 2020: Hyundai India has launched the upgraded version of compact SUV Creta in the Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh and going high to Rs. 17.20 lakh, both the prices are ex-showroom prices. The 2020 Creta is offered with BS-VI compliant engine configurations in both the petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variants are offered with engine options of 1.5-liter naturally aspirated and 1.4-liter GDi turbocharged engines and the diesel variant is equipped with 1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel engine. Besides, this the upgraded Creta undergoes vast cosmetic upgrades on both the exterior and interior fronts.
Hyundai Creta 2020 Spied While Testing
August 7, 2019: According to the recent reports spies have captured the generation next 2020 Hyundai Creta undergoing the test drive. It will be the first facelift of the compact SUV since its launch back in 2015. The new Creta 2020 will be launched during the Indian Auto Expo 2020 and will be empowered with BSVI compliant engine. It will be offered with 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine along with an option of 1.4 litre turbo charged petrol engine.
Hyundai Creta E+ To Be Removed With EX Variant
March 29, 2019: According to the recent reports Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to replace the E+ variant with EX variant in both the petrol and diesel variants. The EX variant with be equipped with a bunch of new features in both the variants followed by additional features in the diesel variant. Some of the common features that would be offered in EX Creta will be reverse parking camera, armrest for the rear passengers with cup holder, and also the adjustable headrest for the rear seat passengers. Mechanically, it will be equipped with the existing engine configurations of 1.4 litre diesel, 1.6 litre diesel and 1.6 litre petrol engine configurations.
Generation Next Hyundai Creta Launched In The Indian Car Market
May 22, 2018: HMIL has launched the facelift verison of its best selling compact SUV Creta in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Mechanically the new Creta comes with the same engine configurations of 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre diesel engine options followed by 1.6 litre petrol engine. As far as cosmetic changes are concerned it receives some interesting updates on both the exterior and interior front followed by driver and passenger airbags and ABS as standard feature.
Hyundai working on facelift version of Creta
September 20, 2016: It is reported that country’s second largest car maker HMIL is going to bring the facelift version of its compact SUV Creta in Indian car market sometimes during 2018. Recently the teaser of same was released by car maker ahead of its showcase during Sao Paulo Auto Show 2016. According to reports the facelift Creta will continue the existing engine configuration of 1.6 litre VTVT petrol engine and 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre U2 CRDi diesel engines followed by contemporary changes on both exteriors and interiors.
S Trim discontinued from petrol variant of Creta
September 8, 2016: It is reported that without any earlier notification country’s second largest car maker HMIL has discounted the S trim from its petrol variant and now petrol variant is available in E, E+, SX+, SX+ AT, SX+ Special Edition trims. Launched last year the first ever compact SUV from Korean car maker has emerged as one of the best selling products by car maker setting a new benchmark for other car makers. The compact SUV is available in both petrol and diesel variants with option of 1.6 litre VTVT petrol and 1.4 litre CRDi and 1.6 litre U2 CRDi engines in diesel variant.
Hyundai to launch three variants of Creta’s Anniversary Edition
August 9, 2016: According to recent reports HMIL will launch three variants of Creta to celebrate its one year of successful existence in Indian car market. It is reported that along with 1st anniversary edition there will be two more new variants which will be named as Executive E+ and S+ with automatic transmission system.
Hyundai to hike prices of Creta from September 2016
July 29, 2016: Following its strategy of revising the price list of portfolio during the third quarter of every year, HMIL is going to hike the prices of its compact SUV Creta up-to Rs. 15,000 from September 2016. The increase in prices has been done after assessing the fluctuation in prices of operational cost. The existing price range of Creta begins from Rs. 9.17 lakh and goes high up-to Rs. 14.51 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom prices, New Delhi).

June 29, 2016: Launched last year during the month of July the Creta compact SUV by Korean car maker is soon going to touch the mark of 80 K units sold in Indian car market. According to sources of company it had received more 1 lakh bookings for Creta till end of March of 2016 and has successfully delivered more than 78,000 units to customers across the country.
Hyundai launches automatic transmission system in petrol variant of Creta
April 20, 2016: HMIL has silently introduced automatic transmission system in petrol variant of its compact SUV Creta with starting price of Rs. 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The automatic transmission system has been introduced in SX+ trim of petrol variant and is enriched with 1.6 litre petrol engine coupled with six speed torque converter transmission unit boosting the power of 122 bhp and torque of 154 Nm. Apart from automatic transmission system the SX+ automatic trim also bestows various contemporary features.

March 15, 2016: Launched last year in month of July 2015, Hyundai Creta the compact SUV by Korean car maker has reported to receive more than 1 lakh bookings within the eight months after its launch in Indian car market, Thus, creating one more milestone in the history of company. December 21, 2105: Hyundai Creata the compact SUV from Korean car maker has been honored as the Indian Car of the Year 2016 constituted by the committee of 14 expert journalists from automobile industry. The other vehicles considered for the same award were Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Ford Figo Aspire, Renault Kwid, and Honda Jazz. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno from MSIL launched almost two months back stood second in the race with 85 points, while Creta won the competition with 96 points.

November 3, 2015: It is reported that the waiting period of Hyundai Creta which has gone upto April 2016 has minimized subsequently and now dealers are able to deliver the recent bookings of diesel variants probably by the end of January next year and petrol variants even before it. Launched three months back in July with starting price of Rs. 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and succeeded in receiving an encouraging reply from Indian car enthusiasts with its launch. It would be interested to know that even recently launched Maruti Suzuki S-Cross did not succeeded in taking over the Creta.
