Land rover branch owned by the Tata Motors is going to launch its next innovation namely as Land Rover Discovery 4 which is the extended version of Land Rover Discovery 3. Discovery 4 is a mixture of style, performance and off – road capabilities. It is one of the strongest SUV of the third generation of Land Rover. It is not the only car launched by the company.

There is another car, Range Rover Sports which is also launched in UK in the same month as Discovery 4. The price for both the SUV’s is same around 61 lakhs. It is absolutely based on the revised chassis and an impressive of advanced technology and comes in 4 different kinds of engines.

Land Rover Discovery 4 Engine, Power and Performance

Land Rover Discovery 4 is launched with the diesel engine –TDV6 6 speed automatic transmission. But delivers the maximum power of 245Ps @ 4000rpm which is more than the entry level 2.7 L and the expected maximum torque of 600Nm @ 2000rpm which is matched by the all new twin – turbo power plant in the BMW 740d. Discovery 4 follows the tag line that bigger car mean cleaner. The engine emits 244 g / km of CO2 and has 30.4 mpg combined economy – improvements of 26 g / km and 2.7 mpg over the 2.7 L.
