Ssangyong rolls out Korando Turismo in South Korea
28 February, 2013: South Korean auto major Ssangyong has amplified its portfolio with its latest launch of Korando Turismo. The MPV was launched in South Korea and India as of now needs to satisfy itself with Rexton as Korando’s launch is delayed. Ssangyong Korando Turismo MPV comes with a seating capacity of eleven people in 2+3+3+3. The car comes in two wheel drive, four wheel as well as all wheel drive options making this MPV to watch out for against competition. Ssangyong operates in India under Mahindra shelters and is likely to release the SUV version of Mahindra Korando in India.

The Ssangyong Korando is tweaked a bit to fit into the Indian base. Ssangyong Mahindra Korando uses a 2.0L, e-XDi200 engine. This 1998 cc diesel engine produces a 175 S of maximum power at the rate of 4000 rpm and a maxed torque of 360 Nm at the rate of 2000-3000 rpm. CRDi system fuels the engine’s four cylinders. Engine is mated with a six speed manual transmission. Mahindra Korando has an impressive top speed of 170 kmph. A 100 kmph is achieved in 9.9 seconds. The car has a city/highway mileage of around 13.2/19.5 kmpl.
The new Mahindra Korando is developed and designed by renowned styling and design manufacturer “Itladesin”. The shape and design of this SUV is modern and stylish with rugged and tough appearance. This compact SUV Mahindra Korando is built on monocoque body structure, thus ensuring both sturdy and light weight body compared to its counterparts. The car looks extremely hefty and sporty with its muscular beautiful and flared wheel arches that are fitted with 17 inch alloy wheel tyres.
