Audi's way to the second position in Indian market
The German Automobile company Audi has been taking required steps to take its name up the chart. Now they have planned a strategy to target smaller towns, as they think the potential in such towns is enough for their luxury cars to make an impact.
Audi has registered a significant growth in their sales figures, in India. The company has enjoyed 95% increase in their cars' sales year after year. This year, they have sold 3,655 units till August. And they claim to cross the figure of 5,000 by the end of the year.
This will help the company in taking the company's name at the second position, on the luxury carmakers' list, in India. Presently, this positon is Mercedes' home. But they have a danger of losing their position to the German giant Audi.
Michael Perschke, Audi India's head said that they have had some really good years in terms of growth, and now they are planning to work hard on increasing the volume of production, and offering the Indian market right choice of products.
Audi India plans to increase the production of Audi Q3 and Audi A3 cars. They also plan to take their number of dealerships in the country to 25 by the end of next year. It plans to open establish new dealerships in Western Delhi and Southern Mumbai.
Till now, Audi has invested 30 million euors in India. And it looks forward to invest more, and employ 600 more people.
