Nissan developing sub Rs 3 Lakh cars tailored for India

Japan based auto giant Nissan Motors now seems to conquer the Indian automotive market by a flurry. The company intends to introduce low-cost vehicles that will cost under INR 3 Lakh for emerging markets like India. The new inexpensive automobiles will be manufactured under Nissan’s old brand Datsun and will be made available by 2014. Whereas, the other promising markets apart from India comprise of Brazil, Russia and Indonesia. These reports were disclosed by Japan’s leading newspaper Nikkei.

Meanwhile, the company representatives kept themselves away from commenting on the said news. The daily went further saying that Nissan expects an annual sales of around 3, 00,000 Datsun brand vehicles. This initiative by 2nd largest automaker in Japan is taken to capture a sizable share in the upcoming auto markets across the world.
