I heard that Maruti Alto 800 will power 1000cc, K10 engine very soon. Can any one suggest that is this right?

Yes. There are news floating around about the launch of Maruti Alto 800 K10 with 1.0L engine by mid of 2013. But any official announcement is yet to take place. If it does come it will complete the Alto line pretty aptly and will be a good move from boring looks of current Alto K10 to beautiful one like Alto 800.
