I have been with my Maruti Swift VDI diesel since last 2-3 months, but unable to get desired mileage on daily run (home to office) basis and end up with only 11-12 kmpl.. pls help me with something?

Not getting proper mileage with Maruti Swift Diesel is a bit strange. However, don’t worry, just take care of few basics (mentioned ahead) and everything will be in place. First of all check the tyre (air) pressure, subsequently the route that you take, while to and fro, i.e. is it filled with bumpy potholes. Moreover, the distance that you travel alongside most important fuel station, yes, at some fuel-refill stations they don’t pour in the actual quantity against the money paid. So try to look after these changes for some a week, you will definitely get bettered results than usual.
