Answer for this queation
I have come across an advertisement for second hand Mercedes w 123, which is 20 yrs old. The price is 4 lakhs. Is it worth buying it? I'm a person who has regular fixed monthly income. Is it possible to maintain that? Incase if I have to buy, what are the parameters that I should check in Benz?

First of all, congrats of zeroing upon a premium sedan Mercedes Benz W123. Initially as it’s a 2 decade old sedan you should check for rust, properly working AC, test drive it in city condition and start up from cold, the profession of the existing owner for e.g. If he is a doctor, they keep their cars well maintained. Other elements to watch can be interior and exterior condition, neighborhood/mechanical/ authorized service center evaluation, attitude/concern/caring of the owners towards his Mercedes Benz. Furthermore, this old Mercs usually don’t possess much of maintenance, hence you will be able to look after that, but after proper examination. Whereas, the price of Rs 4 Lakh is a pretty buy… go for it.

Hi Ajmal,Thanks for your response. This is the first positive response I have got on this matter. The owner is a realtor. He has never done the servicing in showroom. He claims that servicing in local workshop is as good as showroom servicing. I have test driven it.The pick up, steering and brakes are in good condition.Engine is little bit rusted.and the interiors are worn out little bit. Shall I still go ahead with it?
