which is best among toyota etios liva gd or tata indigo ls tdi ? In reference with-
1)best mileage 2)low maintenance 3)diesel 4)storage space
Or you can suggest any other diesel car in range 5 to 6.5 laks. with specs.

Dear Ishu,
Both the options i.e. Toyota Etios Liva GD and Tata Indigo LS TDI fall well under your budget but when it comes to your priorities there are many other vehicles too available in the auto market with similar or better capabilities.
Firstly let’s compare the ones you have shortlisted. Engine is near about the same that is of 1400cc so is the power performance with about 68-70PS, also as far as overall practical mileage is concerned is zeroes on approx 17-20 (city-highway). Features and comfort in Toyota Etios Liva is more compared to Tata Indigo (Price Rs 5.33 Lakh- Ex Delhi), while on the price part too Liva (Price Rs 5.77 Lakh- Ex Delhi) is costly by 40 thousand. On the space-storage and maintenance aspect, Indigo takes the cake against Liva hatch.
The other available diesel alternatives are as follows:
1) Best Overall Practical Mileage: Maruti Ritz ZDI hatchback (18-20 kmpl- Rs 6.23 Lakh), Mahindra Verito D4 sedan (17-20 kmpl- Rs 6.47 Lakh), Maruti Swift Dzire sedan (18-20 kmpl- Rs 6.52 Lakh)
