Now-a-days many of auto portals and experts are giving their positive and negative advices about GM’s India bound small car Chevrolet Sail U-VA. And as my personal opinion this new hatchback car by the American auto major will not do well because its similar Beat is already available which is known for impressive mileage and eye-catchy body design. It is well targeting both premium and entry-level small car segments. The new launching Chevrolet small car do not have attractive body design beside its price range is also unconfirmed.  

Till now, the new Chevrolet Sail U-VA features and specs have also been known at large scale which not appear impressive and more than the Swift, Polo, Fabia, Figo etc. best-selling models. It is expected that as a premium hatchback model the Chevrolet Sail U-VA price will also become higher to the current hit model Beat. And at this time customers are going for fuel efficient small cars come at affordable and competitive price range.

GM has also displayed the Chevrolet Sail U-VA pictures and there none is extra. Although, the company is promising to offer new hatch with both petrol and diesel trims but no confirmation about variants from features wise. There is no extra power because its petrol model has a 1.2L (85PS) petrol motor while the diesel model is loaded to a 1.3L (77PS) diesel engine which is already doing duty in most reliable cars like Swift and Ritz. Meanwhile, the real competitor Indica Vista offer powerful engines in both trims.

GM India had been reported flop in premium hatchback segment because Aveo U-VA is not doing well. And the Sail U-VA will go through very difficult way in presence of many of hit rivals. Yet the company has not disclosed the Sail U-VA price in expected figures and customers are in confusion which is another minus point. Overall, the situations are very opposite to this innovative model in market.
