Cons : I am little worried about the cost of maintenance

I am planning to buy a hatchback or a mid-size sedan by this Diwali. I am excited that an alluring hatchback and sedan prototypes of Chevrolet Sail are going to be launched during the festive season, this year. I am worried about the cost of maintenance and price of the car. As my budget will be around Rs. 7 lakh, I would wish to buy the top end variant of this car if it comes in the range of Rs. 7 lakh – Rs. 7.5 lakh. As far as the maintenance is concerned, I have heard that the small cars of Chevrolet in India are offered with longer free maintenance service tenure. We will have to wait and see how much free maintenance will be offered by the company when this car will be out for sale.   

From the displayed pictures at Auto Expo 2012, the exteriors of this car look stunning and the interiors too seem to be finely crafted. From the side glance, Chevy Sail resembles with Chevrolet’s another sedan, Chevrolet Optra Magnum. My expectations from the car manufacturer, Chevrolet would be to load this exotic machine with some fresh features to make the ride more soothing. I most often drive on highways and my suggestions would be to bring this car in diesel variants too.

Chevrolet Sail would no doubt compete with some master cars in the domestic auto-market like Toyota Etios Liva, Toyota Etios hatchback, Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift Dzire and Hyundai i20. Last few years have been phenomenal for the automobile unit, Chevrolet as its products have been applauded by the automobile experts and enthusiasts and I am sure that Chevrolet Sail too would make a significant contribution in expanding the sales of the company.
