Perfect match for my family
Pros : large interiors, safety features
Cons : pricing would help me to tell this
Chevrolet Sail, I first saw this vehicle on my trip to my US based uncle. The amazingly designed exterior body of this car that is highly efficient in terms of aerodynamics amazed me completely. It has been more than 2 two years since I have been waiting this car to be launched in the Indian market, but the company has been postponing the launch of this vehicle again and again. The Chevrolet Sail model will be launched in the country in both hatchback and sedan version. However, it is the sedan version I am most interested in.
I am expecting that the company will roll out the Chevrolet Sail sedan with 1.4L 4 - cylinder petrol engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 94 bhp along with a peak torque of 124 Nm. It is expected the new Sail sedan will be replacing the current entry level sedan Aveo in the Indian market in the price segment of Rs 6.5 to 7.5 lakh.
And amazing thing is that my favorite Chevrolet Sail will be a five - seater sedan with considerably larger boot space, perfectly matching with the needs and requirements of my family. Moreover, the car will be available in my favorite Starfish Blue, adding glitters to the gold. As all other Chevrolet portfolio cars in India, the Sail sedan will come featured with a number of safety features including ABS (anti-lock Braking System), EBD (electric brake -force distribution), Pedestrian Protection System, Retractable steering column and child safety lock system.
It will be very exciting to see how things fall in place for Sail Sedan in the Indian market as the segment of entry level sedans is already very congested with the entry of a number of new cars including new Maruti Swift Dzire 2012, Toyota Etios, Tata Indigo CS, Nissan Sunny etc.
