I currently have a hatchback and a saloon which I have been using for quite some time and now I am looking to buy a new premium saloon soon. I have made some profit in the business and it is time to treat myself with a brand new saloon. I have seen pictures of new Hyundai Elantra sedan on internet and it seems quite impressive. What makes the old version different from the new version of Elantra is the fluidic design that has been bestowed on the new saloon. What I got to know from the Hyundai Elantra reviews available on some of the prominent car portals, the sedan will be launched in both petrol as well as diesel trim levels.

The petrol version will come powered with a powerful 1.8 litre petrol engine  that can pump out maximum power of 149.5 Ps at 6500 Rpm and a peak torque of 177 Nm at 4700 Rpm. On the other hand the Hyundai Elantra diesel variant will be equipped with a 1.6 litre diesel mill that can generate a high power of 128 Ps at 4000 Rpm along with a maximum torque of 260 Nm at 1900-2750 Rpm. The fuel efficiency figures given for the city conditions are not that impressive however these are just the expected mileage figures. On the other hand the highway fuel economy figures are much better. What remains to be seen is the price of Hyundai Elantra diesel version, as buying a petrol version will not be a viable option. Price of new Hyundai Elantra are expected to be placed lower than its rivals which could work in the sedan’s favour. I will stay agile on August 13, when the sedan is being launched in India to know the price of the sedan.
