Awaiting for Mahindra Quanto’s launch

Pros : Price, compact size, seating

Cons : Too early to expect

Hello everyone! I am a resident of Pune and I am looking forward to buy Mahindra Quanto which is launching very soon. Since this would be my second car (I own a Maruti Ritz), I have researched a lot about Quanto and want to share my findings with all of you. The demo car has also reached dealers and I took its test drive too. Through this user review, I want to tell you all that Mahindra Quanto is actually the name given by company to Mahindra Xylo mini – a much shorter version of Mahindra Xylo. The latter is already very popular in taxi segment owing to its XXL comfort level. However, its younger sister i.e. Quanto will appeal customers who would like to buy it for personal use like me.

There are myths among potential buyers that since length of Mahindra Quanto has been reduced to less than 4 metres, company won’t be offering the seven-seater option. However, this is a total misconception as Mahindra Quanto spy shots and pictures are all around World Wide Web and it is crystal clear that Mahindra Quanto comes with two jump seats at rear facing each other, although if you opt for them. Next, this small SUV will be powered by a small 1.5 litre diesel engine that would belt out nearly 65 PS of power. As I have mentioned in pros above, Mahindra Quanto price (Rs 6 lakh as expected) would be a plus point for customers to go for it rather than other compact SUVs like Ertiga, Duster or upcoming EcoSport. From Xylo, the compact car borrows not just the platform, but other things like front look (grille, headlamps, and fog lamps), alloy wheels, dashboard, picnic table behind front seats and loads more.

Comfort elements in the Sports Utility Vehicle include armrest for front seats and multi-info display for driver and passengers, great legroom for second row seats, a step below tails gate for easy ingress to the last seats.
