Mahindra Quanto – Thank God, it is available in diesel
Pros : low price, features, style
Cons : Can say it after it is launched
After witnessing the rise of petrol price from Rs. 40.22 per liter to Rs. 77.60 per liter between year 2009-2011, I am finally bugged of my Chevrolet Spark. After driving it for more than 3 years, I am now planning to buy a small MUV in the price of 7 lakh. Mahindra Quanto is the perfect match which I am planning to purchase. Though, the price of this car has not yet unveiled, but speculated price is somewhat around Rs. 5-6 lakhs. As the 1.5 liter CRDI engine is installed in it, I am expecting that its mileage would also be around 15-17 kmpl.
Mahindra has been the iconic brand for manufacturing best in class utility cars and I am sure that like the Xylo MUV, the Quanto would also be a reliable car for a small family. The styling of Quanto is incredible and much improved than the big Xylo. Exteriors in the pictures although look small & compact but are well crafted. For a family of five members, quanto would be the right option to go with.
Like the stunning XUV 500, the Quanto’s USP would also be its great features in its price range. I have browsed on the source that quanto will carry features like Dual SRS Airbags, ABS with EBD, Parking sensors etc. One of my friends owns a Mahindra Scorpio and he says that is maintenance is very low compared to competing cars, therefore, you can expect that the quanto too will incur lesser cost of maintenance.
