Mahindra Quanto a wise choice for a new SUV?
Pros : goodwill of the manufacturer, powerful AC
Cons : CD player and alloy wheels missing
Lately I have been planning to upgrade to a SUV. After driving the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R for more than 7 years I have collected enough money to invest into a bigger and better car in all possible aspects. After anticipating for some years a car finally struck the chords of my heart perfectly, the Mahindra Quanto C4. The car has been in news and my mind for some time now low price and compact size are the two USPs of this SUV.
The company, Mahindra has been known to deliver excellent SUVs to the customer but for the first time the company has come with a car in this price range and size. The powerful SUV engine manages to deliver 13.5 kmpl in city with high traffic conditions, but on the highway the company claims to give 17.5 kmpl, which is very impressive for a car of this size. The cabin of this car is cooled by a very powerful AC and protects the people in the car from heat. This point is very important for me as I live in the state of Rajasthan where the summers can be very harsh at times. A power steering is also given in the car which provides a very comfortable drive experience to the driver.
Power windows are also a very important feature present in the front as well as the rear windows. This feature is almost the mandatory in most of the big cars which are launched nowadays. Remote and remote fuel lid opener is present there in the car. The points which disappoint me are the CD player and alloy wheels not present in the car.
But the car comes equipped with a central locking system which also has become almost compulsory for every car these days. Priced at Rs. 653612 the Mahindra Quanto C4 did not fail to impress me in most of its points. This car can be a perfect purchase for me if I neglect some of the points.
