Cervo, Yet another disappointment after Nano
Pros : looks, mileage
Cons : Inefficient engine with low power, less space inside, safety issues
After meeting so much disappointment with Tata’s Nano, now Maruti too is making way into the same category with its upcoming Cervo that by some fortune manages to look good but other than that it is nothing but yet another empty box. As far as we can make out from magazines and the internet, the Cervo would be incapable of making much market. The car has a small engine with less power that would count for low pickup and less efficiency. However due to lesser displacement rate of the engine, the car would be making up a good mileage with around 17 Kmpl in the city which too is just an estimate however. The body of the car has been given good angles and aerodynamics. Although I wonder how the Cervo would manage to pull out a decent ride on highways with that less an engine power.
As far as the pictures reveal, the interiors see, very congested and compact that would make it a strict four seater with less leg room, headroom and shoulder room just like the Nano. Moreover the car lacks safety measures and the size and bulk of the car is too negligible to suffer any kinds of bruises or mishaps on the highways. Moreover, the body is light so narrowing through curves on hilly areas might create some danger as well; it might be prone to skidding. The suspensions are expected to be decent though. I am not sure about the steering of the car but a little bit concern from Maruti is surely expected from the same. As far as the price is concerned, it stands out to be economical but you cannot expect certain entertainment features such as the audio system, nonetheless it is sure to lack more!
