Maruti Cervo, another frustrating car after Nano
Pros : Only looks are good
Cons : low engine power, high price and feature less
Hi, I am Arun Mishra from Mumbai, Maharashtra and I am one of the bugged owners of Tata Nano. After viewing news about the launch of Cervo, this year, I am feeling pity on those who would intend to buy it. No doubt, the company has given its all consistent efforts to make it attractive and sporty, but they have installed the engine with a low performance. I think that 0.6 L engine would not be sufficient to run a car with four passengers on highways or in city conditions. Rather the company should have poised this car with 0.8 L petrol engine of Maruti 800.
I have myself experienced the pathetic ride of Tata Nano which possess 0.6 L engine, therefore I can predict that this small too would not be that good in terms of driving. Yes, it might have good fuel efficiency but power and performance also play major role for any car buyer. I have read on the sources that the car might fall in the range of Rs. 2.0 – 2.5 lakhs, if this would be the case then I believe car enthusiasts would love to buy cars like Alto and Eon buy paying some additional sum of amount. I think that features in this car would not be much, therefore, success of this new Maruti small car is uncertain.
I think that the company could have planned of introducing revamped avatar of Maruti 800, rather than introducing a compact car with less than 800 cc capacity. Tough, the launch is scheduled for peak season of Diwali, but I don’t think that this small car would be able to create history like the 800.

ReplyCERVO WILL SERVE THOSE MILLIONS WHO UPGRADE FROM GEARLESS TWO-WHEELERS TO FOUR WHEELERS, PROVIDED THE CAR HAS AUTO-TRANSMISSION. MANUAL TRANSMISSION, ON THE OTHER HAND WILL SIMPLY REDUCE ITS STATION TO THAT OF NANO.
