Maruti Ertiga VDI, the intelligent Indian MPV

Pros : Loaded with exciting features, stylish and affordable

Cons : Resale value in utility class

I am Aditya from Mangalore, I checked the specs and details of Maruti Ertiga and to be honest, I found this car better than available SUV options in the range of Rs. 9 lakh. The styling looks much alike other full sized MPVs like the Tata Aria and Toyota Innova however, the rear looks are totally distinct from other cars. It can be used for both family and commercial purposes and has got space for seven passengers.

I have browsed this website and it is very interesting to know that this MUV would come installed with so many great features. It will have AC, music system, power steering, power windows, electric mirrors, alloy wheels etc. I recently visited the nearby Maruti dealer in my city, but the response has been poor from his end. Though, the car is going to launch on coming 12th April, he has no information available about the Ertiga MPV.

It is good to know that it would come powered in both petrol and diesel engine options. I heard that the engine capacity would be comparatively less than other utility cars, but one thing is quite clear that it will have better fuel efficiency than other MPVs available in India. At present, there is no competitive compact MPV available in India, but soon this car will have rival, Mahindra Mini Xylo, therefore, it would be quite interesting to see who gets a better response. I am also planning to buy either Ertiga or Mini Xylo, but first I would test drive the Ertiga to check its performance. Maruti has been dominating in the small car segment, but in large segment cars, I don’t think that it has been much impressive, therefore, the resale value of this car would be another considering factor.
