Maruti Ertiga VXI – Value for money MUV

Pros : Sober appearance, fuel efficient and well mated interiors

Cons : Will get to know after its launch

Within next 5 – 6 months, I am planning to purchase a seven seater MUV. It’s good to hear that Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the Ertiga MUV by next month. I checked all the available specifications of this car and it seems that it would be a worth buying option. Along with Ertiga, I also checked another MUV that is expected to arrive within this year, the Nissan Evalia. I am bit confused after having a glance on both of these cars.

In terms of appearance, Ertiga looks more pretty than Nissan Evalia, but I think as the overall styling of Evalia is alike a car van so space would be more in it. The launch of Nissan Evalia is not yet disclosed, but I think Nissan would introduce it by this year end. However, the Ertiga is going to be launch next month so its availability would be much earlier. Though I am not in a hurry to buy a car, but yes surely I would test drive the Ertiga prior I decide for the car purchase.

I too would surely consider the one which has more features in it. However, Ertiga would be my first preference as its maintenance would be relatively cheaper than Nissan Evalia. Also at every 50 kms, you can find a Maruti service centre, so maintenance would not be a big problem. I hope that Nissan would soon try to expand its network in the Indian market so that it could compete with companies like Maruti & Hyundai. Prices of both these MUVs are not yet out and my budget is around 9 lakhs, so I have kept my fingers crossed that these MUVs would be launched at a nominal price tag range.
