My dream MPV is just one month away

Pros : pricing, mileage

Cons : pricing, mileage

After satisfactorily driving Maruti’s small cars Alto and Wagon R for more than five years of my life, I have been eagerly waiting to upgrade to a higher segment Maruti Suzuki vehicle. However, as the cars like Swift, Ritz and Dzire don’t match with the needs and requirements of my family, the only wish I had to own a multi utility vehicle from Maruti’s India portfolio. To my utmost fortune, the company had recently announced to launch a new compact MPV – Eritga – in the Indian auto market, exactly what I was looking for.

The Maruti Ertiga model seems to have been specially designed for middle class people like me having an economical diesel engine, lower price tag and high utility. All this, with Maruti’s best after sales service and very low maintenance cost.

I have been very excitingly following-up all spy testing related articles along with user reviews since I have heard the news of its launch is taking place in March 2012. Which means, its only one month left in the launch of my much awaited Maruti Ertiga.

One can be rest assured of optimal performance from this new MPV, as it come powered by a tried and tested 1.3 liter diesel engine that delivers a top power of 66KW@4000 rpm along with a peak torque of 200Nm torque @1750 rpm. However, the most interesting thing about this vehicle is its mileage which is expected to be over 20 km per liter, considerably higher for an MPV.

Ever since the company has announced to launch Ertiga model in India, I have been pinching every penny of my savings to expand my budget limit for this car. I hope, the company will price the Ertiga MPV in the range of Rs 6 to 8 lakh, so that I won’t face any problem in paying the initial payment.
