Maruti has been the most reliable brand for last 28 years and I am glad that the company is all set to introduce its first phenomenal MUV, Maruti Ertiga in India. Exteriors of this Indian utility paladin resembles with the popular Maruti hatchback, Maruti Swift. It would be interesting to see at what price the company tags this MUV giant. Car maker, Maruti Suzuki should keep the price competitive, i.e. the range of Rs. 5 - 6 lakh, to attract more buyers. No doubt, the launch of Maruti Ertiga would bring in rivalry action amongst cars like Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo and Tata Aria.

I hope that Maruti will install the new Maruti Ertiga with all the exciting features like Power Windows, Height adjustable driver's seat, Power door locks, Airbags, CD player, Bluetooth, Rain sensing wipers etc. It would be interesting to see the how better the available 1.4 liter petrol and 1.3 liter diesel engine deliver the fuel economy. Being an MUV, Maruti Ertiga should be a capacious machine with seating capacity for at least 7 passengers. I have road tested Maruti Grand Vitara, but the experience has been disappointing as the paddle acceleration was totally stiff. I suppose that the new Maruti Ertiga will have a smooth soft touch acceleration that would enable it to churn immense power. Maruti Ertiga has got a renowned car maker badge; therefore, I expect that this car will incurr nominal cost of maintenance. One positive point of buying the upcoming Maruti Ertiga can be its sound dealership network.      

The previously launched Maruti crossover, Maruti Grand Vitara did not had a good time in the Indian market, but now when the utility vehicle competition is stiff in the domestic auto-market, I am expecting the Ertiga to stand as a flagship car for the auto-brand, Maruti Suzuki.
