Is Nissan Evalia fit for my large family?

Hello there I’m Riddhima from Bhopal. I am a working girl currently working in a MNC. I have a big family of 7. Including two of my younger brothers and two young sisters who are young than me but older than my brothers. Me being the eldest child of my parents have taken most of the responsibility of the family as father is retired.

We have a Maruti Verna as the family car, but lately I have been thinking of gifting my parents a new car for their next anniversary which can also replace our old car. My biggest requirement for the car is space and comfort. And lately I have been saving enough money and constantly kept my eyes for such a car that can fulfill our needs. And I have finally found one car which perfectly fits my idea of a “big family car”. The newly launched Nissan Evalia XV has taken my heart by a swish. The Nissan entered the segment of MPV with this new car. Although the car has been launched in four variants, but I’m gorging on their top end model the XV, which comes with almost all the advanced features that can make any MPV a total stunner. The main highlight of the Evalia is the sliding rear door which gives a comfortable approach to the seats at the rear. Although I don’t like the looks of the car from outside as it is very simple and appears to be quite boxy. The looks hardly matters to me now after looking at the interiors and the engine.

The car has a diesel engine that gives a maximum output power of 86 PS at a 3750 rpm and gives a high torque of 200 NM. The 1461cc engine is smartly made compatible with a five speed gear transmission that impresses with a high mileage of 21.7 kmpl on the highway and 17.5 in city driving conditions. Delivering the high numbers in the mileage aspect, this car can prove to be quite economical for our family as well. The comfort features of this car are high as the car is the top end variant. The car comes with a power and tilt steering wheel. Power windows at the front and the rear, air conditioner with heater and is quite impressive, CD player which can enhance the total drive experience. On the safety front it has two airbags in the front for the driver and the co – passenger. It also has ABS with EBD with brake assist. Central locking system and alloy wheels are also present. Even though I like the car, but I feel that it is a bit more than deserved for the price. This point can be made acceptable if we look at the company’s reputation in the international market.
