Best Chevy car in the hatchback segment
Pros : Space and its elegant style
Cons : Didn’t find any
I am Raghvender Singh from New Delhi. I was screening all the hatchbacks in the price segment between Rs 5 – 7 lakhs before the festive season. While searching I heard lot about the Chevy Sail UVA but still I didn’t had confidence in GM cars. I was going to finalize Toyota Etios Liva and incidentally one of my friends came and told me that I should accompany him to the test drive of Chevrolet Sail UVA. I said okay thinking that I knew what the outcome would be. Just like most of the people go he also opted for the diesel trim and we drove the Chevrolet Sail UVA Diesel LT variant.
At first glance on the ‘real’ UVA, I was surprised to see the length of this car and its smart exteriors with large headlamps, beautiful cues and subtle rear part. My astonishment further increased when I sat beside him in the hatchback. The headroom, legroom, knee room & shoulder room was excellent with no margin for complaint in the front row. I also checked the rear ones & they too were comfortable. The version was the top end one and had all the features that you needed.
From the pictures I was thinking that the vehicle was too pricey compared to its short length and simple styling but the test drive changed that whole scenario. I also tried my hands on the steering and the feel was pretty good with steering nicely balanced and the engine was also free from vibration and noise. Turning radius, ground clearance and suspension system were always there when you needed them most. I asked the sales person about its mileage. He told me it’s around 17 kmpl in city and 21 kmpl on highways. On the same day, I got one booked for me as well.
