Spark is fairly okay for longer hauls!

Pros : good handling and control, decent mileage

Cons : less powered engine, low pick- up

My experience with my Chevrolet Spark 1.0 LT LPG has been somewhat fairly okay as far as the long drives can be considered. It has seemingly failed to do something very extraordinary but I am narrowly satisfied with it. Overall the point is that I recently took my Spark to Udaipur from Jaipur and I found the following to be the positives and negatives of the car. Firstly, the engine seems okay when you drive and the city but as soon as you hit the highways, it seems very disappointing with less power and low pick- up. It seems that a lot of forceful pressure has been put to the engine when you accelerate. The only good thing with the 995 cc engine is that it delivers a good mileage in terms of LPG. I could measure a 14 Kmpl through my trip that I found to be pretty decent at the verge of convincing myself. The part where the Chevy Spark very appropriately stands out is the driving and handling aspect where I found out the Spark is favorable for higher speeds since the car is light weight and so is the justice well served by the super sensitive and highly responsive steering wheel.

The braking is very efficient and there is no doubt that the suspensions do a fair job with the handling and driving experience making it comfortable and less bumpier altogether. Overall I have been fairly satisfied by the car’s performance on the highways but I think it could have done a far better job provided there was a significant raise in the power of the engine by Chevrolet. For me, it is not more than a 6 on 10!
