Looks more like a good carrier

Pros : Ride Comfort, fuel economy, effective air conditioning, easy to drive and good in any terrain

Cons : Engine sound, bad interiors, poor suspension and jerky driving

I have been driving Chevy’s Tavera for over a year now. The overall layout is good but is no good at looks typically speaking  about exteriors, they are among the most inferior ones and at an exorbitant price of close to 10 lacs, it is nothing more than GM’s clever plan of grabbing money from India . Talking about interiors seats are much comfortable like all MUV’s and provides ease at driving for long hours without getting tired.

Mileage is good. I get an average of 10+ with AC in the city (Jaipur) and 16 with AC on highways.
The triple row AC is good and the space inside is sufficient for 9 (though it’s a 7 seater). The worst part that spoils the whole show is the suspension. The engine is powerful enough to drag the vehicle above 120kmph but the suspension is not. It has leaf springs and transmits the entire jerks of the road to the passengers. This makes it not good for owning. Hope Chevy makes some changes on this part. Innova seems to be better in this (suspension) aspect, but the last row leg-room space in Innova is much compact and thighs won’t get rest in a long run.

Maintenance expenses are comparatively low and it’s the only vehicle in India that is good for taxi or a cab (If you want profit). Personally I am not recommending Tavera's luxury version because I feel it is highly priced in that case you can think Safari or Innova and I heard that Xylo is also nice so its now up to you to decide what best suites you.
