Living in a metro city is not always beneficial, especially when one of your most preferred vehicles gets discontinue in your so called cosmopolitan city. This is exactly what happed when I went to buy a Chevrolet Tavera Neo BS-III at my nearby dealership in Delhi and got to know that all BS-III compatible vehicles have been discontinued in 13 major cities of the country including Delhi, following government’s decision of upgrading these cities to BS-IV norms. I had left with no option but to wait for the launch of Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 in BS IV compatible version.

The long wait of this model ended last week with the launch of new Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 BS-IV. Though the company has changed the previous engine in the new Tavera BS-IV with 2.0L TCDi engine, still the overall performance and the looks of the vehicle seem better as compared to the precious Tavera. However, the fuel efficiency of the new Tavera BS IV is much lesser as compared to the previous one at just 12.3 km per liter.

After taking the test drive, I have already booked the Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 Max variant of the vehicle, which suites both my budget and requirements perfectly. There are a number of cosmetic changes at both exterior and interior fronts of the car including exciting dual tone color theme at exterior, 15-inch alloy wheels, stylish cluster carrying an impression of Chevrolet Corvette sports car, 1DIN audio system with auxiliary support and roof mounted antenna, rear window defogger, and many more.

I believe that the new Tavera BS IV will be carrying forward the success achieved by its older version, by giving a tough competition to its rivals like Toyota Innova, Tata Aria and Mahindra Xylo.
