Hyundai Accent : The suitable boy with unsuitable mileage

Hello !! Today, I am glad to announce than my Hyundai Accent has turned out to be a 3 year old boy. My experience with Hyundai Accent Executive has been glorious. I cannot describe in words how efficient this car is. Powered with 1.5 liter petrol engine, it has calibre to beat other competing roadsters like Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Manza. While, talking about its interior space, I will say that this car has a new world inside it. For the driver and the co-driver, the seat posture is the soothing one. The rear seats have enough width, leg-room and headroom that enable three passengers to sit with ease.

I would say that the exterior appearance of Hyundai Accent is no doubt a head turner. The attractive front grille with the Hyundai badge adds on the elegant factors to this car. From the rear view too, the vehicle looks much better than Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Manza.

However, the fuel economy it delivers is not an appreciable one. I get the mileage of mere 9 km/l in city conditions and 13 kmpl on highways, whereas cars like Dzire toss mileage of 16 – 17 kmpl. The company phased out its efficient diesel engine variant couple of years ago, but with mounting fuel prices, they should plan to bring in the diesel CRDi variant of this car again on shores. Also, with the change in time, I think that the company should add more features in Hyundai Accent. There is not set of standard features like EBD, Airbags and Anti-lock Braking System in this car which could cater the passengers with an ultimate safe ride experience. In addition, the vehicle lacks entertainment & communication features like Music system and Bluetooth connectivity.
