Is i10 better or Beat??

Pros : i10 is a better performer, interior quality is good

Cons : Beat can be value for money car, No diesel engine available for i10, build is so-so

Next week, I am going to buy a small car, I have shortlisted two cars, i.e. Hyundai i10 and Chevrolet Beat. I am looking forward to buy a car that can prove to be a true value for money product. i10 is undoubtedly one of the best performers in its segment. Its 1.1 liter and 1.2 liter petrol engine churn better power and torque than Beat’s engine. Furthermore, I think that the quality of interior is good in Hyundai i10 compared to Chevrolet Beat.

Though, i10 has got a good grip on the Indian small car segment, but despite of this, it has got many negative aspects. In terms of fuel efficiency Chevrolet Beat is a better car than the i10. Beat petrol delivers mileage of around 18 kmpl while the Hyundai i10 1.2 liter delivers fuel efficiency of around 16.5 kmpl. The other thing which I can consider is the availability of Chevrolet Beat in diesel engine. And yes, the mileage of Beat diesel is unbeatable, i.e. around 22 – 24 kmpl.

I like the design of Chevrolet Beat which is more sober and more attractive than the i10’s outdated looks. Besides this, the build of Chevy Beat is also more sturdy compared to the i10’s light quality metal built. It is very confusing to decide that which hatchback can be the most compatible car for a small family. So far, I have just checked the paper specs of this car and test drive is yet to be taken. I would take the final decision once I take the test drive. I am bit fleet on the Beat, but I will finalize the car which will have more practicality in terms of driver.
