Hatchback revolution, Hyundai i10
Pros : Stylish, comfortable, fuel efficient and features
Cons : Steering is bit stiff
Hello, I am Nand Kishor Sharma, one of the proud owners of Hyundai i10 LPG Magna. I purchased this efficient hatchback around two years back and so far the journey with this little car has been satisfactory. It was in 2010 when I bought this car due to its decent performance, high fuel efficiency and high level comforts. I am pleased with what the i10 LPG Magna has given me so far.
While driven on LPG the car is very economical and really saves money. Moreover, with petrol the fuel economy is ok, somewhat around 15 – 17 kmpl. Inside, the car is very roomy and offers of enough leg-room and shoulder space; however, the rear seat shoulder space is bit stiff for three passengers. Furthermore, the looks of Hyundai i10 LPG Magna are stunning. Music system was not available in the variant I purchased, so I had to spend 7,000 Rupees more to get it installed from outside vendor.
Features are though less in my LPG Magna, but works well, except steering. I feel that the hydraulic power steering is bit stiff compared to other power steering cars. Otherwise, features like Power windows, remote fuel lip opener and central locking work well. Chilling Air-conditioner is USP of i10 I think compared to Wagon R’s AC, i10 Ac is more efficient.
Overall, as per my experience, Hyundai i10 LPG Magna is the best choice that falls in nominal range and offers you pleasing comforts. If brought in diesel engine, it has potential to create history like iconic Maruti 800 hatchback.
