i-Gen i20 – Better but not stylish

Pros : Interiors look well and features are better

Cons : Exteriors are same as the old variants and higher price

I expected a lot from the new i20, but it is disappointing that the company has not given any new design to this car. I thought that the new i20 will carry some stunning graphics like its sedan partner, the Verna Fluidic, but there are no signs of improvement in the exteriors of the car. Yes, you can say that there is bit of change in the headlamps and front hood curve, but apart from these changes, side profile and the rear profile seems to be almost same.

But yes, there are certainly changes in the interiors and features of this car. You will find the wondering inside view and bit of change in the upholstery. Also, there is bit of change in the design of the dash board and the multi-media display is also entirely new one. The tilt & telescopic power steering has got audio and Bluetooth controls, but the design of the steering wheel is just the same. I got my hands over the AT transmission variant and I must say that the handling was really good. I would suggest the buyers to once check the AT variant of this car, because it is easy to drive with it. In addition, there is a rear view camera installed with parking sensors, so no worry wherever you are, you will park your car with ease. Remember guys, to get all these features, you will have to pay 7.67 lakh rupees (Ex-showroom Delhi). Yes, the new top end variant it too pricy, maybe it is the side effect of 2012 – 13 Union Budget.

If discounts are not possible, Hyundai should avail extra accessories on the car purchase so that it is worth buying the new i20, else its future might similar to the Honda Jazz.
