Hyundai Verna – The worst decision of my life

Pros : Only fuel efficiency and looks are good

Cons : Pathetic comforts & pick-up, instable on highways and poor metal quality

Those who say that Hyundai Verna Fluidic is a good car and has excellent performance, I would just say that they have not experienced the reality of Verna Fluidic. I bought the base variant Verna Fluidic 1.4 VTVT about five months back and so far my experience from this car has been pathetic. As an owner of this car the only thing that I find good in this car is its so-so fuel efficiency and outside style. The company says that they have blessed it with all premium comforts, but when I am inside it, I feel like I am sitting in a car like i20. The interiors look almost similar to Tata Manza and Swift Dzire. The upholstery is the same which is used in Hyundai i10 and the dash board quality is as same as the Hyundai small car Eon.

Verna Fluidic costs rupees four lakh more than i10 and still the interiors and dash board are almost same as the Hyundai hatchbacks. Added to this, the pick-up of Verna Fluidic is also not the satisfactory one. In addition, the stability of this car is also extremely poor. When you drive this car on higher speeds, it starts loosing road grip.

The music system of the car is ok, but when it comes to safety, I am against this car. The metal sheet of Verna Fluidic is poor in comparison to other sedans like Honda City and Vento. Moreover, the variant that I am using lacks necessary safety features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Airbags, Parking Sensors etc.

The company should get serious on all the setbacks of the Verna Fluidic, if it wants this car to compete with other fabulous sedans like Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and Nissan Sunny.

Hyundai Verna lacks road grip and needs improvement in handling sections as well . But overall I find it a premium car at a price below 7.5 lakhs. Quintessential if you expect more for less .
