How can I improve fuel efficiency of Hyundai Verna Fluidic

Pros : Mesmerizing looks, excellent features, powerful engine

Cons : Low fuel economy in city conditions

I own Hyundai Verna Fluidic 1.6 VTVT SX variant, I bought the Verna sedan last year in the month of November and since then I have had absolutely no problem with it. However, with the hike in petrol prices one thing that bothers me a little is its low fuel economy specially in the city conditions. My Verna returns a fuel economy of meagre 12 kmpl in city conditions which is slightly low for me therefore I seek advice in terms of increasing the fuel efficiency of Verna. Apart from this it is an excellent sedan, though I have not had the opportunity to drive it a lot on highways but I have driven it quite a few times. On highway the sedan delivers a fuel efficiency of 15.5 kmpl which is decent.

As far as the features of this car are concerned, Hyundai has done a good job and infused almost all good features inside the sedan. The interiors are not juts spacious but also reflect an upmarket air, you step inside the Verna and you will get a feel of a luxury sedan. Features like powerful air conditioner, power steering, power windows both front and rear, cup holders both front and rear, remote trunk opener, remote boot lid opener, alloy wheels CD player are present in the car. This was about the comfort features but Hyundai has also bestowed Verna with a couple of safety features that include driver airbag, front passenger airbag, anti-lock-Brake System and central locking. Other than these features a lot of other innovative features are also equipped in the sedan that makes it the best buy in its segment and at this price. I would recommend this sedan to others too; the only thing to look out for is the various ways in which the fuel economy can be enhanced in the city conditions.
