Tiny teddy Mahindra Quanto
Pros : Mileage is good, features are advanced
Cons : Design looks shabby like the old Xylo, space is less for occupants, doubt on performance
I was just surfing for a new good car to purchase on Diwali and my eyes went on something very tiny, i.e. Mahindra Quanto C6. I got confused if it was Xylo or some other car. Seeing the Mahindra Quanto C6 pictures closely I realized that it’s a tiny version of the big buddy Mahindra Xylo. I am not impressed thoroughly with what Mahindra has introduced known as Quanto C6. In fact, I feel that this MUV is very compact and has shabby dynamics.
It is simply a seven seater with less space to breathe in. I don’t think that when you pay a bulky sum of more than Rs. 7 lakh, you would intend to buy an MUV that looks very tiny. A buyer like me would certainly switch to a car like Maruti Ertiga which is well priced, have good features and comes with good interior space too.
Although I have not test driven this car, but I think that it will be somewhat good in terms of fuel economy. It has got 1.5 liter diesel power-train installed in it and stats say that it has potential to deliver mileage up to 17.21 kmpl. However, I still have a doubt about its performance on roads.
Features in Quanto C6 are good, it has got ABS, Central Locking, Music system, AC etc. I feel that the car has been overpriced. Price of around 5 – 6 lakhs could have been ok for this MUV.
