A power packed muscular off roader all set to explore Indian lands

Pros : Sporty looks, great handling, nice mileage, curvy exteriors, comfortable interiors, high ground clearance and amazing ride handling at high speeds

Cons : Tacky plastic used to build interiors, almost nil legroom for the third row, gear shift is a bit stiff and suspension is not that great

I took test drive of Mahindra XUV 500 recently and at first glance it drove my mood on, sporty curvy exteriors with beautiful head lights and an amazingly designed rear light makes it an alluring ride. Name is slightly awkward “XUV 500”, they should think off something sporty and strong that depicts well the features and styles it offers. It’s a hulk all set to explore Indian roads with its immense power and maneuverability and truly speaking the price tag it comes in ( 11 to 14 lakh) makes it a very hot option for passionate off roaders who are looking for something refreshing  and stunning.

Interiors are a real softy, comfortable seats with and separate a/c vents fitted for all the three rows chills the car in less than 5 minutes, space inside is enormous but the third row passengers feel deprived of the necessary legroom but overall it’s a nice ride to carry 7 passengers comfortably. Suspension is not good enough and most of the potholed roads vibrations are transferred to the passengers back especially to the third row passengers. Car offers high ground clearance and handling at high speeds is not much of a concern. It grips the road firmly and turns like a “Cheetah”. Mileage is good enough and as per dealer, maintenance cost will be much smaller than the conventional SUV’s.

Mahindra XUV 500 is a power packed vehicle all set for passionate off roaders and for those who likes to go unleashed!!!
