A good combination of power and beauty
Pros : Powerful engine, amply spacious interiors, decent fuel efficiency, very easy to drive and looks are just amazing
Cons : Material used to build interiors is tacky and a long waiting period
Mahindra has created a stir in the market with their latest launch “XUV 500”. Car is a brand ambassador of looks, style, class and comfort. I took test drive to know more about this marvelous piece of engineering and come out with a stunning experience. At the first glance it looks nothing short of an adoring beauty with aggressive front and bold rear looks. Curvy headlight looks marvelous and stretched rear looks gives it a distinct personality. Curvy sideline gives it a muscular touch like that of Bill Goldberg’s strong shoulder muscles.
Car comes with a powerful 2179cc engine capable to generate 140 bhp of power that’s too much of raw power for an SUV. It’s a stunning highway vehicle reaches 100 in just 12 seconds and despite of that huge power manages to give 11 km per liter of mileage and proves to be easy on pocket. Pickup is what I like the most, highly agile and quick in response increases the driving pleasure. Broad tyres provide good grip over the road. Car comes fully loaded with best in class suspensions that maintains comfort even on the worst, potholed, dusty and muddy road. Car turns like rocket; a slight steering movement turns the car to 90 degrees.
Interiors are the most amazing aspect of the car, very comfortable and dominating seating posture with arm rests and headrests reminds me of my comfortable sofa. Car is amply spacious on all corners and all the three rows are provided with separate A/C vents with ample boot space truly amazing. The only glitch is the long waiting period after booking that one has to go through.
