Small wonder
Pros : Good design, nice aerodynamics, wonderful average, low turning radius, very low maintenance cost and best value for money
Cons : Inferior material used to build exteriors and cramped interiors
I have been driving Maruti 800 for the last 7 years and it’s been at its best all this time and I am very happy with the overall performance of the vehicle. It’s a true value for money and designed well taking into consideration the requirements of the middle class families.
Exteriors are very good looking however material used to build exteriors (the overall body) is tacky and a slight touch with anybody causes dents and it’s a biggest disadvantage for people like me who are city dwellers and it becomes very difficult to drive in dense traffic, a slight tough and I have to send it to warehouse for repairs. Designing is very good and I like the overall size, its compact but good enough and provides a lot of ease at parking.
Interiors are good and pretty spacious especially the rear side. Front side is good enough but legroom is very cramped especially for tall people. Seats are very comfortable and boot space provided is good enough for taking enough luggages. Mileage of the car is the best of all whooping 19 kms/ltr in city traffic, just amazing. Car runs very smooth and handling at speed of 80 or 90 is not a big problem also it’s very easy to turn and pickup is great however a/c is useless and hardly works rear passengers always sweat. Maintenance cost is very low.
Overall it’s a best value for money and a best car for people, who have a daily commute of 20 to 25 kms and need a car to satisfy their requirement of a daily conveyance but it’s not a car for people who drive for passion.
