A truly global car

Pros : Nice designing and styling, high mileage

Cons : awkward looking front portion, lack of space inside

When I decided to buy a car in the price segment of Rs 3 to 4 lakh about 6 months back, the options available were include Alto K10, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti A-Star and Chevrolet Spark. The real confusion occurred when I decided to go for one between Wagon R and A-Star. But after comparing a few things, Wagon R came-out as an obvious choice. Many of you may not be aware that Maruti A-Star R is the flagship exports model of the Maruti in the European markets. The car has been designed and developed to be compatible with the rigorous safety and performance standards of European markets.

Everything from Fuel economy to pick-up & acceleration and from safety to comfort and convenience is perfect in this car. Though front design is a bit sluggish but can be accepted if a complete car like A-Star is on offer. It is a car for people who believe in buying new and futuristic cars.
