It’s a more car per car
Pros : Nice Styling, good looking exteriors, wonderful mileage, very low maintenance cost, easy to handle, low turning radius and Maruti’s trust
Cons : Cramped legroom space, a/c is weak, less powerful engine, poor suspensions and space is a big issue with almost nil boot space
I am driving Maruti’s Alto for 3 years now and it’s been great all the time. I am single and purchased it for a daily commute of 30 kms. I have already driven it 27000 kms and never felt bored of it. Exteriors are good and the styling is made much better in the latest version. Its fuel efficiency is much higher and is one of the reasons which compelled me to go for it. Priced between 2.5 to 3.5 lakhs together with Maruti’s trust makes it a car of choice.
Interiors are simple and good enough to satisfy needs of a middle class family. I found some areas where it needs improvement like a/c is weak and is useless in the scorching heat of summers also its very hard to drive on high lands with a/c on as it sucks up all the engine power and I have to put it off to help her regain stamina. Interiors are cramped and car is not at all made for tall people. Suspension requires transformation as is not good enough to handle bumpy, potholed Indian roads.
Maintenance cost is very less and the company’s after sales service is always ready to serve at best. Spares are reasonably priced too. Ride handling is great. Turning radius is very small and the beauty of the investment is you will be able to fetch most of it on resale. Maruti Alto is a boon for middle class families who want good services at much reasonable price.
