Maruti Alto Green LX BSIV
Pros : compact looks, reasonable price, great mileage
Cons : less comfort features
I have a daily run up of about 50 km. therefore, I was looking for a small car that fitted into my budget and gave a perfect mileage figure. Maruti Alto Green LX BSIV came up as an ideal car for me. The car is blessed with 0.8L engine with i-GPI (Intelligent Gas Port Injection) bi-fuel technology with displacement of 796cc. the power produced by the engine is 47 PS and the engine is coupled with five speed manual transmission. This combination of the engine and gearbox pushes the car to give a superb mileage of 20 km per litre. This mileage figure has actually stopped burning a hole in my pocket and maintained by monthly budget. However, Maruti Alto Green LX BSIV falls short in terms of comfort features. The car only features air conditioning system with heater, while the absence of power steering and power windows is a bit disappointing.
