Maruti Alto– Wrong choice to go with

Pros : Fuel expense is less, Exteriors are tough

Cons : No power windows or power steering, important safety features also missing, poor drive

Hello, this is Sudhanshu Rana from Kolkata, WB. I own a Maruti Alto Green LX and I have certain complains about this car. I bought it around 7 seven months ago thinking that I will be a good choice in the budget of Rs. 3.5 lakh, but things did not go well.

You can say that this car is good only in terms of rigidity and less fuel expenses due to CNG kit availability. However, with the time I have realized that this car is bit outdated compared to other cars with advanced features like Hyundai Eon. The car lacks much necessary features like the Power Windows and Power Steering. In addition, you will miss entertainment in this car as there is no Music system or Radio available.
 
Worst part is that there is also unavailability of central locking. Moreover, other much necessary safety features like Brake Assist, Keyless entry etc. are also missing in this car. Another major problem with the Alto Green LX is of driving. The handling of the car is not proper. When I drive at a speed of 80 – 90 on CNG mode, there is a different vibration from the car. In addition, the acceleration is also a major problem while driving on CNG. You have to fully push the accelerator to enable this car to churn sufficient force for pick up.

Driver’s seat to an extent is okay, but the rear cabin is entirely stiff when three people sit. In fact, the leg-room space also seems to be less for the rear occupants.
