Alto Green, the real Punjabi Car

Hi people, the great performance up till now of My Maruti Alto has forced me to write a review on the same. In the year 2009 I had purchased this car as at that time there were no better options available in the small car segment, while there was Hyundai Santro always there but at that time its service cost and maintenance was just unbearable compared to Maruti, so opted for Maruti Alto Green, the petrol-CNG combo that is good on mileage and light on pocket.

The car has got a very good pick up compared to Hyundai Eon, which my friend owns. Also it is good on highways with speed strictly not above 90-95 kmph as it starts crying and at times feels a bit out of control too. The car has got nice mileage figures too with AC on all the time, 13 kmpl in city while 21 kmpl on the highways with petrol and 10-12 km/kg and 18-19 km/pg with CNG engine for city and highways respectively. The AC really eats up the mileage in cities, I would advise Maruti to add another 100cc to avoid this issue. And also the metallic paint done on my car was not at all of a quality material, just local one with no shine on it, I was not satisfied. I think these issues will be answered in the upcoming New Alto and replacement of Maruti 800 which was caught testing some days back. I have seen the spied images, and have made up my mind to go for it; if it will be Maruti Cervo it cannot be better than that. A modish looking car with loads of mileage and very good service. Hope all these issues and more features get added in upcoming new car models.
