One step higher by Alto as ALTO 800

Maruti has recently launched its newer version of Maruti Alto as Maruti Alto 800 in the same price range as of Maruti Alto of about Rs 2.40 lakhs. The car is but obvious more stylish and superior to its previous versions in every way. Taking about its base model and comparing it with the higher variant of former Maruti Alto i.e. Maruti Alto LX, we can say that it is lower in cost that Maruti Alto LX. The engine is altered from 0.8L 47bhp FC engine to F8D, 3 cylinder petrol engine which has promoted the peak power from 47 PS @ 6200 rpm to 48 PS @ 6000 rpm and also the torque from 62 Nm @ 3000 rpm to 69 Nm @ 3500 rpm.

The improvement can even be seen in the fuel economy which has reached up to 17.5 kmpl from 14.6 kmpl on city roads and 22.74 kmpl from 18.9 kmpl on highways. Maruti Alto 800 has got the all new cable type gear shifts of 5 speed manual transmissions which is smoother that before. The suspensions are now gas filled which are capable of absorbing higher shock. Definitely the car has all the features as in Maruti Alto LX like powerful AC, Adjustable seats height Adjustable front seat belts, dual tone fabricated interiors etc. but some extra things like foldable seats, integrated antennas, front door pockets, remote fuel lid opener, floor carpet, sun visor on driver and co-driver seat, cabin lights, changed wave front design given to its exterior, Dial type Climate Control, Dual Trip meter, Assist Grips, Collapsible steering column, front wiper and washer with intermittent and much more.

With these all things, one thing for sure is that Maruti is gearing up in the Indian Automobile Market.
