A well tried and trusted vehicle

Pros : Nice looks, good styling, comfortable interiors, good material used, wonderful fuel economy, very low maintenance cost, exceptionally low turning radius and legendary Maruti’s embedded trust

Cons : Less powerful engine, A/c is cramped and of no use, small wheels and suspension requires relook

I am software engineer by profession and purchased Maruti Alto 3 years back. My daily commute was close to 45 kilometres at that time and was looking for specifications like nice fuel efficiency, less maintenance cost, good a/c and a reliable and trusted vehicle to serve me at best and above are some of the key features, Maruti cars are well known for. I still love it a lot and it has found a permanent place under my shed.

Exteriors are amazing and soothing to the senses. Talking about interiors, they are spacious and are made to seat 5 passengers comfortably. Rear side is a bit cramped and legroom is not enough for people of 6 feet of height, boot space is not enough. Tyres are small and not able to tackle dirty Indian roads well. Quality of suspensions should be enhanced as they are not good enough to restrict the road vibrations to themselves. Power should be increased to create a better coordination between pickup and air conditioning to enable customers to have a feel of both.

The new variant of Alto powered with K-10 engine is amended well to overcome all the aforementioned concern areas and once again it has come out like a champion. A best in class true value for money vehicle is serving the middle class families well for over a decade now and has come out as a true successor of Maruti’s legendary 800. It’s a more car per car and a best option for starters.
