Best car for mid class
Pros : Amazing mileage for a petrol vehicle, nice exteriors, best vale for money and very easy to drive
Cons : Less space, bad a/c and suspensions, vibrates at high speeds and almost no boot and rear space
I have being driving Maruti’s Alto for close to 3 years now and it’s a nice vehicle for city dwellers who bear dense traffic on a daily basis, very easy to drive, turning radius is extremely small and attractive price tag makes it a nice pick. Maintenance cost is very low and 18 km/ltr mileage in city conditions is great. Handling is nice at low speeds but once you cross 80 km mark on speedometer, the car starts vibrating and is take care of in the new version.
Alto is priced close to 2.5 lacs and is basically a gap filler between Maruti 800 and Wagon R, just slightly costlier than Maruti 800 it can rightly be said as its successor in the modern world together with our country’s legendary car manufacturers trust it is best value for money for starters and with new k10 engine it has more power and power steering took the driving experience to an all new level.
Though the car is stunning and a best performer in its segment but there is still room for improvement and there are some areas where car is still weak for example cramped interiors with almost no space for luggage,
if you are tall than you will find it very difficult to drive and will not get enough space on the rear side too. Going on long drives is not a good option with this car and suspensions are not good enough to hold dirty road vibrations, power gets vanished at high a/c and you have to lower it down to regain stamina.
Overall it’s a very fruitful investment and much of it can be recovered on resale.
