Cons : Engine is not powerful enough and a/c is more like a fan

I bought Maruti’s Alto with the all new k-10 engine and I am driving it for over a year now. It’s my first car so I played safe. I am very happy with the performance of the vehicle, engine’s power is nice but with a/c on, its power is all gone and I have to shut it down to regain power on up hills but if you remove this aspect and broader your horizon to look it as a complete package then you will be able to understand the core reason why it has been made.

Exteriors are beautiful and elegant, vehicle can run on 100 to 110 km/hr and remains very much under control, drive handling is not great but is good enough, turning radius is very low and power steering makes it very easy to drive, car offers relatively high ground clearance and it’s a complete package for city dwellers who have daily commute of 20 to 25 kms, car offers good mileage close to 19 kms per liter and comes in 2.5 to 3.5 lakh which makes it a hot option over passing everything and the beauty of  purchasing Alto is you can recover more than 50% of your investment back on resale who else can assure you this. I request company to increase space inside the car and give it some more power so that a good combination of power with a/c can be created and believe me it will prove boon to people who drive in high traffic conditions in scorching heat.

Overall it’s a marvelous vehicle for starters and a best option for people who want long term commitment.
