A transformed Versa with a new name
Pros : Good looks, spacious interiors, a better goods carrier, nice fuel efficiency, and a very easy to handle vehicle
Cons : Boxy tinny design and cheap quality plastic used to build interiors
Maruti is good at playing games and is an equally well in redesigning and amending the rejected products into an all new one with new personality and name. Company is good at serving old wine in a new bottle with a new tag and that is what they have done with Eeco, an improved version of the old rejected Versa re launched to create excitement.
Exteriors are all same however the quality of plastic used to build exteriors is been improved a lot, Tyres quality been improved and now it offers much better grip over the road. Suspension is good enough but the last row passengers still feels the glitch over filthy roads and that needs to be improved because on long drives it becomes the pain area. Engine is powered with 1196cc displacement which generates 74 PS of power at 6000 rpm of torque that’s impressive. Eeco is pretty high on mileage too and gives good 14km in city and 17 on highways. Travel industry has made the best use of it and I have seen people using it for short journey requirements in place of city buses. Maintenance cost of Maruti vehicles is very low and after sales service is best in class.
Interiors are amply spacious with good legroom in all the rows however the quality of upholstery especially the plastic quality is inferior and decreases the beauty of the interiors. Car is designed keeping in mind the comfort level of seven passengers at best. Eeco is a best ride for those who have big family and their daily conveyance needs include city driving and need a best value for money with long term commitment and durability.
