overall quality is poor
Pros : Electronic trip meter, driving position, cabin height, noiseless engine and quick pickup
Cons : Suffocating interiors, seating comfort and very heavy handling
Maruti has done makeover on their old failure Versa and is presented with an all new name and identity named Eeco. At the first glance Eeco looks like a tinny box but the quality of exteriors and interiors is improved as per the taste of the customers and now it looks much attractive and stylish than ever before. It’s a good and successful transformation from an inferior to a stylish smart van. I have taken a test drive recently to understand the features and specifications and here are my findings hope would prove to be of some help.
Exteriors look smart, good body work and graphics has transformed a mere van into a stylish ride. Clear headlamps looks good and bumpers quality is been improved. Tyres are still small but provides good grip over the road. Suspension is good but the rear passengers still feel the glitch and filthy road vibrations are very much visible in the third row.
Engine is powerful and pickup is quick and made me feel good. A/ Car is amply spacious from inside and 7 passengers can sit comfortably. Price of the vehicle is very reasonable and maintenance cost is very low. Eeco gives good mileage close to 15kms and after sales service of Maruti is best in class. Spares are reasonably priced too. Eeco is an ultimate city ride and made to drive between 40 to 90kms/hr. Quality of interiors requires amendments and are still of poor quality. Seating comfort should be enhanced.
Overall Eeco is a well try from Maruti but is still low on quality and offerings however the price it fetches makes it a good value for money.
